2007 Summer Vacation Adventures – Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness
I hope to take spring break with the family. Otherwise there is still time before the crowds and the heat limit privacy and comfort. But it is too early to think about summer vacation special Colorado Rockies. But where?
If you are a native of Colorado, you already know you have many options; If funds are not a problem, you can choose the attractions and theme parks in the city, swimming and water slides in Glenwood Springs, trips, caves, whitewater rafting, zoos, mountain climbing, hiking or one of the many peaks of 14,000 feet, jeeping, 4 wheels, and many, many other options.
Of course, Colorado offers hundreds of camping, hiking and climbing in areas ranging from primitive and isolated purely tourist. "I can suggest an inspired space is somewhere in the middle of this range, but definitely a number 10 in the beauty and variety – Garnet Bells-Snowmass Wilderness area?
Maroon Bells is a popular attraction in the summer and meet many people, but all have one thing in common, And their shared commitment Revel in the splendor of the peaks of mountains, lakes, streams and wildlife will add a new dimension of human connection.
More popular access to Maroon Bells Snowmass wilderness, amounting to more than 174,000 acres in two national forests, White River and Gunnison, ascends from the station Ski Aspen, Colorado. Aspen Motor Garnet Lake is limited, and you want to check the time and exceptions. A bus travels regularly Lake Valley for a small fee, trying to reduce traffic and pollution. Bus drivers provide an interesting turn of dialogue and entertaining for the short trip. The trip is free to travel non-motorized, such as cycling and hiking.
